Some time ago I discovered that the world is looking to learn about the culture, tradition, history, pairing, cocktails and future of tequila.

La cata comienza antes del primer sorbo.

El primer contacto con una bebida espirituosa es visual.

Observamos:

👁️ Color
👁️ Limpidez
👁️ Brillo
👁️ Viscosidad

Pero hay algo importante:

El color genera expectativas, no necesariamente confirma el sabor.

Un líquido cristalino puede sugerir frescura y pureza.

Un destilado dorado puede anticipar una percepción asociada con madera, maduración o evolución.

La vista prepara al cerebro para lo que viene.

Por eso, en el desarrollo de una bebida, la experiencia sensorial debe pensarse como una secuencia:

Vista → Aroma → Boca → Final.

La bebida comienza a comunicarse antes de tocar nuestros labios.

La próxima vez que pruebes un destilado, obsérvalo durante unos segundos antes de beberlo.
